Bronisława LEWANDOWSKA
born SKOCZYŃSKA

( 1902-1958 )
Born in Poland. Married lawyer Marian Lewandowski (below). Died in Montreal at the age of 56.
Marian LEWANDOWSKI
( 1900-1975 )
Born in Warsaw. Studied Law at the University of Warsaw, interrupting his studies to volunteer in the Polish-Soviet War (1918-1920). Awarded the Cross of Valour. Upon completing his studies, worked in Warsaw's Court of Appeal. During World War II he joined the clandestine resistance movement and was thrice arrested by the Germans. He fought in the Warsaw Uprising, 1944, and after its collapse, was deported to the Dachau concentration camp. On liberation, moved to Paris and in 1951 emigrated to Canada.

In 1960 was admitted to the Quebec Bar, practicing Law and actively supporting Polish community initiatives. The Polish governement-in-exile appointed him official representative for Canada in 1972. Recipient of numerous Polish and foreign awards. Died in Montreal at the age of 75, mourned by his second wife, Halina Lewandowska
