( 1918-1999 )
Born and educated in Poland. Was a Warsaw university student when the Germans invaded Poland in 1939, setting off WW II. Married Władysław (below) in 1944, they had 3 children, Irena, Albert and Witold. The family emigrated to Canada in 1958. Jola earned an education degree at the University of Montreal and become a teacher, while also volunteering in the Polish Library and Institute. Died aged 81 after a long, progressive illness.
Her mother, Irena Plater-Zyberk, lies in grave no. 83 [lot C1 660], her sister, Irena (Renia) Belina Brzozowska – in grave 85 [lot C1 661], and sister Róża Siemieńska – in grave 45 [lot C1 184].

( 1919-2008 )
Born and educated in Poland. Studied international commerce before the war, subsequently became a Tatra-mountain-guide. Married Jolanta (above) in 1944, emigrated to Canada with his family, worked in an insurance company, remained fascinated by nature, travel and photography. Cared devotedly for his wife during her 20 last years of disability. Died aged 89, mourned by his three children, Irena, Albert and Witold.
