Krystyna SZCZUKA
( 1901- 1958 )
Born in Antonin near Grodno. In the inter-war period she established and ran a private school for girls in Rabka along with her sisters Irena and Zofia. Following the outbreak of World War II Krystyna made her way to Portugal and then on to Canada where she settled in Montreal. Employee of the Guardian Trust Company and active member of the Polish War Refugee Association. In 1952, she established the first Polish postal library in Montreal. She died prematurely of cancer at the age of 58.

Brother of Krystyna (above). Served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He is buried in the military cemetery in Pointe Claire.
