Born in Poland, the youngest daughter of a large family. Graduated from Teaching School in 1933. During the war, deported to a German concentration camp in Italy, upon liberation went to England and studied nursing while also working in a hospital in Ashford. Emigrated to Canada in the late 1950's and worked in Montreal at the Neurological Institute. In 1960 completed a course in neurological nursing, and in 1963 graduated from McGill in nursing education. From 1967 to 1979 she was Assistant-Head of the Nursing Education Department at the Neurological Institute. Died at age 65.
