Aleksandra WYCZECH KRAJEWSKA
BOZIC

( 1906-1977 )
Born and raised in Warsaw, married Leopold Krajewski, an officer in the Polish army. They had a daughter Irena and lived in Lwow. In 1939 Leopold was captured by the Soviets who subsequently executed him in the Katyn forest with thousands of other Polish POWs. Aleksandra started working as a hospital nurse, but was soon deported with her daughter to a labour camp in Siberia. In 1942 they managed to reach the newly-forming Polish forces under General Anders and were evacuated, via the Caspian sea, to Teheran, eventually reaching Italy where Aleksandra worked in the Polish YMCA close to the front lines. In 1946, she married Stanislaw, Count Bozic, a lieutenant in the Yugoslav Royal Navy. They emigrated to Canada in 1957, settling in Montreal, where Aleksandra died at age 71.

Born in France. Was Stanislaw Bozic's second wife. Taught philosophy at the Université de Montréal and was a member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. Died at age 59.
Stanislaw BOZIC
( 1919-2007 )
Officer of the Yugoslav Navy and representative of King Peter II of Yugoslavia, during WW II he fought at the side of the Allies, and married Aleksandra Krajewska (above) in 1946. He emigrated to Canada with his family in 1957. Twice widowed, he died at age 88, mourned by his third wife, Thérèse Brissette.
